My son wanted to come here for his family birthday lunch today, it’s his usual choice when we come to the Grove. Everything was great, food amazing, free dessert for birthday boy was tasty and enough to share with all of us (5 total). Service excellent. Oh and my daughter thought the boy who was host/cleaning tables was really cute.
I ordered fish and chips, I know people say that is hard to mess up. Believe me it can be. Here at State & Main, it was perfect. I had previewed the menu before I got here and knew what I wanted. Then I saw an order go by me when I walked in and knew that I had changed my mind. It looked that good. Fish & chips can be greasy if not drained properly, and this was. The fish tasted excellent. I also want to thank the wait staff for being very pleasant and helpful. She is a natural at great customer service.
Updated review: after one bad experience they sent me a 20 gift card and my experience was positive. Review changed to 5 star. But the real star is their tasty fries and dill dip.
This restaurant is awesome We all had the fish ( haddock) and chips. It was the best fish and best chips I've ever had. They give a large portion and I ate the whole platter ..the coleslaw was the best too. The dips were delightful and never wanted ketchup or vinegar We will be returning to this vert nice, friendly restaurant. Hopefully next time sit outside if the weather is nice.
Had the tuna poke bowl there this week! It was delicious and the staff were so friendly and kind! Bathroom was clean and didn’t not smell. Always a bonus!
